This position is responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner while adhering to all health regulations and local liquor laws. The role requires evening (PM) availability and is a tipped position.
Responsibilities- Guest Service:
Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly, positive, and timely manner. Provide high‑quality service and establish rapport with all guests. - Serving Duties:
Listen attentively, take orders accurately, and use proper serving techniques. Knowledgeable about specials and promotions, actively up‑sell menu items to maximize revenue. - Side Work:
Complete all required side work, including cleaning restaurant, server stations, coffee and cooler stations, vacuuming, trash removal, and stocking supplies. - Cash Handling:
Follow procedures for cash and POS; maintain proper use of equipment and adhere to cost‑control practices. - Safety:
Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company, local, state, and federal regulations. Follow incident procedures and know hotel emergency protocols. - Workload Management:
Plan, organize, and prioritize duties to meet required volume. Adhere to attendance, grooming, and appearance standards, and attend required meetings. - Collaboration:
Take room service orders, assist bartender, and work as a team player to ensure all guest needs are met.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- TIP or CARE beverage service certification desired; ability to obtain certification is required.
- At least one year of prior guest‑service experience.
- Demonstrated exemplary customer service, attention to detail, and ability to work in a repetitive, fast‑paced environment.
- English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis during the shift.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as walking, standing, carrying, and lifting continuously.
- Preferred:
