ScopeThe Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for driving revenue growth for JK Moving Services by focusing 60% of their time on generating new business opportunities and 40% on managing and maintaining existing client relationships. The BDR will identify, qualify, and nurture prospects while also providing account management support to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and growth. This dual-focus role supports both the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of services with current clients, directly contributing to the success of the Business Development team.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management (moving, logistics, or related industry a plus).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain client relationships.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, pipeline management, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
Business Development (60%)
- Research, identify, and engage with potential clients through outbound calls, emails, networking, and events.
- Maintain a steady pipeline of qualified prospects to meet or exceed team revenue goals.
- Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
- Accurately maintain prospect and lead information in the CRM system.
- Represent JK Moving Services at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions.
- Track personal metrics (outreach, conversion, and booked appointments) to align with company goals.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager on strategies for target markets and outreach.
Account Management (40%)
- Serve as a point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring timely responses and high-quality service.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Coordinate with internal departments (operations, customer service, sales) to address client needs.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to expand services within existing accounts.
- Assist in preparing and delivering client performance reviews and reports.
- Monitor client satisfaction and escalation issues when necessary to ensure retention and service quality.
- Support renewal and contract discussions under the guidance of the Business Development Manager.
