Job Description As a Security Guard - Government Building Patrol in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security‑related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff.

Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, following site‑specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to support a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or incidents to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a visible presence to deter unwanted activity.
• Work closely with Allied Universal management and client representatives to support security‑related operations at the location.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Consideration for qualified applications with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
