Job DescriptionAs a Security Professional – Telecom Patrol Unarmed PT in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. - Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activities and maintain a visible presence.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or security‑related concerns within the technology, media, or telecom environment.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while following all Allied Universal protocols.
- Assist in controlling access to the location, verifying identification, and monitoring entry and exit points.
- Support the implementation of emergency procedures when required according to established protocols.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as directed by site management.
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
