R.B. Hinkle is an underground and overhead utility contractor, specializing in the installation of conduit, manholes, and streetlights through trenching, directional drilling, and moling. The company also provides underground cable installation, including new cable, replacements, upgrades, and service restoration.

The Gas Foreman will perform all tasks associated with gas operations and direct the crew's work, ensuring quality control, conformance to standards, and compliance with legal contracts. The role includes filling out timesheets, checking safety equipment, and operating vehicles and equipment daily. The Gas Foreman acts as a company representative, communicating effectively with customers, inspectors, and superintendents.

• Determine construction sequence, methods, and procedures by reading prints, drawings, maps, and service record cards.
• Direct the crew in performing various operational, maintenance, and construction tasks.
• Utilize tools and machinery such as power drills, grinders, saws, fusion equipment, and water spraying equipment.
• Manage projects independently.
• Assess individual abilities and react to abnormal operating conditions.
• Comply with OSHA safety regulations.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Vocational training in a trade preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in gas contracting preferred.
• Proficient with hand and power tools (required).
• Knowledge of gas lines.
• Experience operating excavators, backhoes, trenchers, etc.

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• OQ Certification.

• Proficient in using hand and power tools and shoring installation.
• Use of company phone/tablet.
• Decision-making skills in emergency situations.
