• Performs patient care on appropriate athletic patients upon referral from a physician. Responsible to evaluate and treat specified 'athletic' injuries. Provides consultation with physician regarding patient care upon request. Works with the Director of Therapy in the coordination and management of athletic training contracts. Assists with the daily operation of specialized programming. May treat patients delegated to them from the Physician Therapist, reporting changes in condition and reactions to treatment.
  
  In a high school setting, will be responsible for injury treatment that athletes may need. This includes immediate care of injuries ranging from minor sprains to catastrophic head and neck injuries and conditions such as exertional heat illnesses. Make appropriate referrals as needed. Also works with coaching staff in injury prevention.

• Education: Graduate of CAAHEP accredited school with a B.S. in Athletic Training.

  Experience:
  
  Licensed by the state of Ohio as an Athletic Trainer. Certified by the National Athletic Training Association Board of Certification. Administrative experience including student/self, personnel supervision and program development. Has the ability to communicate with patients under mental and/or physical stress.
• Health and Background Requirements: Employment contingent upon successful completion of Physical. Must be physically able to perform all job duties as assigned.
