Environmental Services Technician, Operating Room

Job SummaryResponsible for performing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. While executing the assigned responsibilities, the EVS Tech, OR will have contact/interactions with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and sanitization of the surgical environment prior to and post-surgical procedures
- Cleaning and maintaining instrumentation and equipment
- Maintaining inventory supplies and delivery of requested supplies/equipment
- Operating equipment and skills pertinent to practice area
- Demonstrating compliance with all hospital wide competencies
- Initiating communication to OR Clinical Manager and Director of EVS for issues
- Performing other related duties as assigned
- Performing job duties of EVS Specialty Tech
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a surgical environment is preferred
- BLS required
- Must become a Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician within 1 year
