Clark Wood is partnering with a highly regarded firm of chartered accountants in Stevenage to recruit an experienced Accounts Senior or Accounts Assistant Manager. The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of non‑audit clients ranging from start‑ups to large companies with turnovers up to the audit threshold. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring all work is completed accurately and efficiently.

In addition to client management, responsibilities include overseeing the development of junior staff, reviewing their work, and providing necessary support.

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients from various industry sectors.
• Support partners and clients with bespoke queries and ad‑hoc project work.
• Prepare and review Statutory Accounts and Management Accounts.
• Prepare and review tax computations and returns.
• Act as the primary point of contact for a range of clients.
• Manage billing, workload, and that of the team efficiently to exceed client expectations.
• Review junior staff work, providing guidance and support as required.

• ACCA/ACA Qualified.
• Experience in client management.
• Experience reviewing work prepared by junior staff.
