The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining accurate accounts, managing office operations, and supporting the overall efficiency of our organisation. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting software and office management to contribute to a dynamic team. Duties Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage, or Xero Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports for management review Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims Oversee general office administration including scheduling, correspondence, telephone and filing systems Dealing with Government bodies Maintain organised records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents Experience Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, ideally within a small to medium-sized organisation Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage, or Xero is essential Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reconciliation procedures Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Familiarity with office management practices and administrative duties Previous experience in managing multiple responsibilities within a busy office environment is desirable Payroll vacancy - 100% working in the office, paying a salary of up to £32,000 Primarily Xero for book-keeping, but also spreadsheets, Quick Books, Sage may also be used Payroll vacancy
Experience:
Xero & Moneysoft payoll, client will train on Moneysoft payroll Processing and filing of weekly/monthly payroll, CIS submissions, year-end reports Monthly pension reporting along with EPS and FPS Liaising with HMRC and clients Handle payroll related enquiries and resolve any issues Answering incoming calls; taking messages and re-directing calls as required Assist with the day to day running of the business Other ad hoc administration and bookkeeping duties when required.
Knowledge of SSP, SMP, PAYE, NI and CIS Attention to detail and accuracy Work to deadlines Prioritise workflow Excellent organisational skills Confident, motivated and have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
