Contract – 12 Months (2 Days a week onsite)

Salary £40.00 per hour Umbrella

ARM has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Buyer to join a fast paced team at a Global Defence Company.

The Role:

• Manage suppliers and where necessary build up longer term supplier management expectations
• Build strong relationships with suppliers in order to meet Internal Customer requirements effectively.
• Build strong relationships with FM, Security & SHE Team in order to support their requirements and needs
• Actively support functional excellence programmes, identifying areas for improvement where new processes may be required
• Lead low value/low complexity negotiations with suppliers to optimise cost, delivery and quality of products

Requirements:

• Significant practical experience, vocational or academic qualifications
• Strong team and communication skills
• Good written, verbal and presentation skills
• Proactive approach / self-starter and able to work under pressure
• Good organisational, planning and admin skills
• Pragmatic approach to problems & issues
• Commercial experience of contract terms and conditions is required
• Knowledge of cost make-up and pricing is desirable but not essential
