This is a full-time, on-site role located in Preston for an Asbestos Surveyor. The responsibilities include conducting asbestos surveys in various property types in compliance with current legislation. The surveyor will collect and document asbestos data, prepare accurate reports, and assist in ensuring property compliance. Duties also include maintaining equipment, adhering to health and safety protocols, and supporting clients with professional advice on asbestos management.
The role requires collaboration with internal teams and client representatives while ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- Competency in performing asbestos surveys (Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition surveys).
- Detailed understanding of current asbestos legislation and guidance (e.g., Control of Asbestos Regulations).
- Strong documentation skills, including report writing and data collection accuracy.
- Knowledge of property compliance and building safety standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using relevant surveying equipment and software tools.
- BOHS P402 qualification (Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings) or equivalent certification.
- Full, clean UK driving license.
- Experience with in the public or private sector and knowledge of health and safety risks would be an advantage.
