Job Overview
East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic locum consultant hepatologist to join our existing gastroenterology and hepatology colleagues at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage. The role is based at the Lister Hospital, but clinics may be at any of the three sites:
Lister Hospital, New QEII Hospital in Welwyn Garden City or Hertford County Hospital.
- Provide a high standard liver service in collaboration with existing consultants.
- Complete 10 programmed activities (PAs) including an on‑call commitment to the emergency endoscopy rota.
- Participate in the 1 in 12 GI bleeding rota, which includes a 24/7 bleed service and routine endoscopy on weekends while on‑call.
- Contribute to the centralised care of GI and liver inpatients at the Lister site.
