SEN Teaching Assistant
Location:
Hertfordshire – Full Time – Immediate Start.
A secondary school in Hertfordshire is looking to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to support students across KS3 and KS4. The role starts immediately and runs for the remainder of the academic year. You will work closely with pupils in mainstream classrooms, providing individual and small‑group support and helping students with ASD, ADHD and other learning differences to engage fully in lessons, develop confidence and achieve their learning goals.
- Supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils.
- Providing individual and small‑group support within mainstream classroom settings.
- Working closely with teachers and the SENCo to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
- Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans.
Qualifications and experience:
- Prior experience supporting children with special educational needs.
- Experience with SEN required.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
The school is a large, inclusive 11‑18 secondary school with around 1,200 pupils, rated Good by Ofsted and known for its high standards and outstanding pastoral care. Staff benefit from ongoing training, professional development, and a collaborative working environment.
