Aspiring English Teacher Programme – £24,066 permanent contract
This is a full‑time, term‑time only position, starting September 2026, that employs you directly.
Key Points About The Scheme- Paid position on the Unqualified Teacher (UQT) scale (most commonly UQ1)
- Employed directly by a school from day one
- Higher initial teaching load, typically around 15 periods per week
- Teaching load gradually increases to approximately 20 periods per week
- One dedicated training day per week
- Opportunity to gain QTS with PGCE (optional opt‑out available if required)
- Working at one school throughout, avoiding any conflict in different teaching styles
Teaching across KS 3‑4 with a focus on raising attainment. Carrying out GCSE and A Level interventions, enrolling onto the Aspiring English Teacher Programme (Schools Direct). September 2026 start – full time and permanent. Salary range: £24,066 – £36,718. Located in Stevenage.
PERSON SPECIFICATION- Must have a desirable degree from the list of English‑related subjects (see below).
