Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire
Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 per annum

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated GCSE Maths Lecturer to join our team in Stevenage on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to helping learners achieve their potential and develop the mathematical skills they need for future success.

As a GCSE Maths Lecturer, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons to students with a range of abilities, creating a supportive learning environment that promotes confidence, achievement, and progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality GCSE Maths lessons that motivate and engage learners.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Monitor student progress and implement strategies to support achievement.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to learners.
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, progress, and achievement data.
  • Support learners with diverse educational needs and backgrounds.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion policies.
About You Essential
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or equivalent).
  • A degree or relevant qualification in Mathematics or a related discipline.
  • Experience teaching GCSE Maths.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for education and student success.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate learners.
Desirable
  • Experience with in a Further Education setting.
  • Knowledge of current GCSE Maths specifications and assessment requirements.
  • Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs.
