This is an exciting opportunity to join a Global Engineering & Manufacturing Company near Stevenage
, where your expertise will help shape the future of production excellence and drive Continuous Improvement across your value stream.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean tools such as Kaizen, SMED, Six Sigma, 5S, 8D and Value Stream Mapping
- Develop and optimise manufacturing processes to meet stringent quality standards
- Drive defect prevention through robust process controls and error-proofing solutions
- Support new product development from concept through to launch
- Specify and validate equipment, tooling, and fixtures to meet production needs
- Lead cost reduction initiatives through process optimisation and value engineering
- Prepare and submit reports detailing capital expenditure requirements, including justification and cost analysis
- Support capital projects and contribute to Cap Ex planning and execution
- HND or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial preferred)
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing, ideally automotive or similar
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects using Lean tools such as Kaizen, SMED, Six Sigma, 5S, 8D and Value Stream Mapping
- Practical exposure to Lean methodologies and structured problem-solving tools
- Knowledge of automated assembly systems, tooling and test equipment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt advantageous
- Experience with Cap Ex projects or capital investment planning beneficial
