Electronics Design Engineer

MERITUS are recruiting for an Electronics Design Engineer to join our client within the defence industry for a long term arrangement from Stevenage.

ELECTRONICS DESIGN ENGINEER - INSIDE IR35 - £58 PER HOUR - STEVENAGE, ONSITE 3 DAYS PER WEEK - 12 MONTHS - UNDERGO SC - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS

We are seeking an experienced Electronic Design Engineer to develop advanced electronic solutions for complex defence systems across land, sea, and air platforms.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, cost-effective electronic designs across the full product lifecycle - from early concept through to production. Your work will primarily focus on power and analogue electronics at both board and sub-system level.

• Design and develop electronic solutions for advanced defence systems

• Own technical performance, quality, cost, and schedule reporting for assigned work packages

• Lead electronic design activities within multi-disciplinary project teams

• Collaborate with software, firmware, mechanical, environmental, and EMC teams to ensure full system integration and compliance

• Support product development from concept through qualification and production

• Degree-qualified in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)

• Significant experience in electronic design, development, and delivery

• Strong background in power and analogue electronics

• Experience leading electronic design work packages

• Proven ability to operate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams

• Excellent problem-solving skills across a broad range of electronic technologies

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
