Overview
Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) is essential to modern military conflicts. MBDA is developing products that will enable the UK Services and allies to maintain battlefield information superiority and robust situational awareness, while disrupting, denying, or degrading enemy operations. The role is part of the EW Group, supporting all Weapon System (WS) and missile programmes with tasks such as physical integration and functional operation of RF Electronic Support / Attack payloads within the EW effects chain.
Key Responsibilities- Lead design, integration and test of RF Electronic Support / Attack payloads for missile, weapon system and systems‑of‑systems levels.
- Provide in‑service support and maintain a focus on EW mission support.
- Manage supplier relationships and oversee procurement, delivery and integration of hardware into missiles.
- Transition development hardware into production, including environmental testing, qualification testing and design certification.
- Apply system design engineering practices: requirements elicitation, decomposition, system design, integration, test, verification and validation.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of RF Electronic Support and Attack Systems, platform integration and life‑cycle support.
- Strong technical understanding of RF and electronic systems, algorithm design and implementation.
- Experience with Integrated Air Defence Systems.
- Supplier management experience, typically with support from a Procurement Lead.
- Proficiency in SysML, DOORS and/or Rhapsody.
- Experience in developing and using RF performance models.
- Familiarity with Dstl, ASWC and/or Defence Intelligence.
- Capability to hold or obtain a DV clearance (British or dual UK national).
- Salary:
Circa £58,000, dependent on experience. - Dynamic (Hybrid) Working Pattern – minimum 3 days per week on‑site.

The vacancy requires a British citizen or a dual UK national with British citizenship, capable of obtaining a DV clearance. All employees must achieve the required medical and national security clearance for the role.
