The RoleA leading space organisation is seeking an experienced Business Process Specialist to support the development and deployment of its internal Business Management System (BMS) across complex space systems programmes.
Working closely with engineering, production, procurement, quality and programme teams, you’ll take ownership of developing lean, practical and auditable business processes that support the full space equipment development lifecycle.
This is a hands‑on delivery-focused role suited to someone who understands how highly regulated engineering environments operate in practice — not just on paper.
- Developing, documenting and implementing business processes, procedures, workflows and supporting templates
- Translating operational and engineering activities into clear, efficient work instructions and procedures
- Supporting Business Management System (BMS) development aligned to ISO, IPC and ECSS principles
- Collaborating with engineering, production, procurement, quality and programme teams across the business
- Delivering minimum viable processes quickly to support compliance while maintaining operational agility
- Supporting process harmonisation across the space equipment development lifecycle
- Identifying process gaps and recommending practical, workable improvements
- Ensuring documentation is lean, functional, auditable and easy to use
- Proven experience writing operational procedures and business processes within the space/aerospace sector
- Strong working knowledge of ECSS, ISO 9001 / AS9100 and IPC standards
- Comfortable working closely with engineering and production environments
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to simplify complex technical activities into effective business processes
- Experience working within smaller, fast‑paced and agile engineering environments, with the ability to operate effectively outside of heavily layered corporate structures
This is an opportunity to join a globally recognised space organisation during an exciting period of UK growth.
You’ll be working within a collaborative Product Assurance & Quality team, helping shape the operational foundations of future space missions.
Successful candidates will need to undergo BPSS clearance.
