Salary

Circa £48,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working

2–3 days per week on site due to workload classification

Security Clearance

British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship. Candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).

The opportunity

You will partner with suppliers worldwide to enable MBDA to provide world‑leading defence capabilities. You will lead the preparation, negotiation, implementation and performance of subcontracts across the life cycle of missiles and missile systems, ensuring contracts are managed to time, cost and quality, providing commercial guidance to internal customers and managing risk and opportunity.

Key activities on a day-to-day basis
  • Preparation and execution of subcontracts, either with existing partners or as a result of running tendering activities
  • Oversee subcontract amendments to remain topical and comply with latest contracting standards and legislation
  • Undertake performance management activities to ensure suppliers deliver in line with subcontract obligations
  • Develop and nurture strong supplier relationships within the UK, Europe and worldwide
  • Identify and mitigate commercial and business risks relating to the suppliers you are responsible for
  • Obtain quotations and other critical intelligence from suppliers to support MBDA bids for new business
What we're looking for from you

The role is collaborative and team‑focused, requiring strong multitasking and problem‑solving skills. You will be required to travel to our suppliers in the UK, Europe and potentially internationally.

  • Experience in procurement subcontract management (negotiation, contract and terms and conditions)
  • Problem‑solving skills and ability to find resolution
  • Ability to provide continuous support and cooperation to senior internal and external customers
  • Continual improvement of opportunities, analysis of situations and presentation of possibilities while balancing risk
