Overview
Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) is critical to modern military operations. MBDA is developing battlefield‑level EW capabilities for the UK Services and allies, enabling robust situational awareness and the disruption of enemy operations. This role is part of the EW Group supporting all relevant weapons and missile programmes, focusing on the physical integration and operation of RF Electronic Support / Attack payloads.
Working Pattern & SecurityDynamic (Hybrid) working: minimum 3 days per week on‑site. Security clearance: applicant must be a British or Dual UK citizen capable of achieving a DV clearance. Medical clearance is also required.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of equipment requirements for RF EW systems.
- Specify and collect technical evidence through testing or analysis, ensuring safe and secure integrity throughout the development cycle.
- Drive flow‑down of requirements into the supply chain, coordinating with internal and external partners.
- Develop verification, validation strategies and agreement on key functional and performance tests.
- Manage supplier performance, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule and technical specifications.
- Communicate technical information across stakeholder groups.
- Support the transition from development hardware to production, including environmental, qualification and certification testing.
- Broad understanding of engineering design processes and good requirement specification practices.
- Strong technical knowledge of RF and electronic systems.
- Experience working with a Design Authority and customer community.
- Managing technical status and progress of assigned work packages.
- Preferable experience in EW systems; highly advantageous knowledge of RF Electronic Support and Attack systems, algorithm design, RF performance modelling, and integrated air defence systems.
- Knowledge of DSTL, ASWC and/or DI experience is desirable.
- Up to £62k salary (dependent on experience).
