Embedded Design Team Lead
As the Embedded Design Team Lead, you will guide a team of engineers and contribute to the development of advanced defence technology.
Team & EnvironmentThe embedded design team are some of the most highly regarded engineers in electronic engineering, working in a multi‑disciplined, fast‑moving environment that demands excellence.
CompensationSalary:
Up to £65,000 depending on experience.
Stevenage. 3–4 days per week on site; hybrid working is possible.
Security ClearanceBritish citizen or dual UK national with British citizenship. Successful candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks.

- Lead day‑to‑day line management of the embedded design team.
- Identify opportunities and drive process improvements, fostering a delivery‑focused culture.
- Blend technical, people and project management to plan workload, bids and deliver technical work packages.
- Plan, budget and oversee project delivery.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineers and drive innovation and improvement.
- Oversee integration and testing of embedded systems on hardware platforms.
- Demonstrable team leadership experience.
- Background in Digital Hardware Design, FPGA or Embedded Software Design.
- Embedded digital design & modelling skills, including partitioning between software and FPGA.
- Experience with integration and testing of embedded systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to inspire teams.
- Experience in project management: planning, budgeting, delivery.
- Proactive mindset for fostering continuous improvement.
