Mission Planning Systems Architect

Stevenage

Up to £54,000 depending on experience.

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3-5 days per week on-site due to workload classification.

British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to obtain SC clearance, managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

We are looking for a Systems Architect who is keen to be part of a growing team designing the Mission Planning system for the next generation of strike weapon across air and maritime domains.

• Work collaboratively with design teams and help evolve and capture the system design using MBSE principles.
• Generate and review architecture artefacts.
• Contribute to engineering milestones and key design reviews.
• Ensure best model practice is followed and design is complete, coherent and drives development.
• Work with the wider Weapon Systems teams to ensure traceability.
• Drive commonality and re-use across product lines.

• Experience in systems architecture and using Model Based Systems Engineering.
• Proficiency with:
  • Rhapsody or equivalent modelling tools.
  • Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) or equivalent configuration control tools.
  • DOORS Next Gen or equivalent requirements management tool.
  • Solid understanding of SysML and architectural principles.
  • Desire to work within a complex problem space across product lines.
  • Ability to communicate and engage positively with cross-functional teams.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Mission Planning (useful but not essential).
