Team Lead - RF Design
Salary:
Circa £75,000 depending on experience.
Location:
Stevenage (relocation package may be offered).
Working hours:
Dynamic hybrid, typically 3 days per week on site.
Security clearance:
British citizens only; HMG BPSS checks required after offer.

- Lead the design and delivery of RF and antenna projects within the UK defence industry.
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership and guidance to the team, fostering high performance.
- Collaborate with other Team Leads, Group Lead and technical experts to align technical direction.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Plan and manage tasks and activities using tools such as Excel, P6 or MS Project.
- Contribute to the development of modern radio transceiver system architecture and design.
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing techniques, design for manufacture and test practices.
- Proven track record of leading complex RF design packages.
- Experience in RF component‑level design and testing across 30MHz to 30GHz (LNA, HPA, filter, local oscillator, synthesiser, modulator).
- Strong knowledge of digital, analogue and power‑supply design.
- Proficiency with RF and antenna design tools such as Microwave Office and HFSS, including layout.
- Familiarity with modern radio transceiver system architecture and design.
- Experience with manufacturing techniques and design for manufacture/test.
- Project management experience and proficiency with planning tools (Excel, P6, MS Project).
- Excellent technical and functional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire high‑performing teams.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in cross‑functional environments.
