Job Description

We are seeking an AIT Electrical Operator to join our team in Stevenage, supporting the assembly, integration and testing of advanced aerospace and space systems within a highly regulated environment.

    Stevenage
  • On Site:
    Fully onsite 5x a week
  • Clearance:
    Clearable
  • Experience Level: Junior
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform assembly, integration and test activities in accordance with engineering procedures and work instructions.
  • Prepare hardware and equipment for integration and testing activities.
  • Support electrical and mechanical integration of aerospace and space systems.
  • Execute functional tests and record test results accurately.
  • Identify and report non-conformances, anomalies and defects.
  • Complete manufacturing and quality documentation in line with project requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety and cleanliness requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the AIT environment
Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • Experience in a manufacturing, assembly, integration or test environment.
  • Background in Aerospace, Space, Defence, Electronics, Automotive or another highly regulated industry.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, procedures and technical documentation.
  • Strong practical and hands-on engineering skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience working to strict processes and procedures.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible and proactive approach to problem solving.
Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
    , or equivalent
    military experience
    .
Desirable

Skills:
  • Previous experience within an Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) environment.
  • Experience working on aerospace, satellite or space-related hardware.
  • Cleanroom experience.
  • Electrical testing or mechanical assembly experience.
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and documentation requirements.
