Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine

This is an excellent opportunity within Emergency Medicine at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. We are seeking an enthusiastic clinical fellow to join the department to provide patient care within the trust. You will work as part of the emergency department team.
We will offer you a Study Leave budget of £1,000 per year to support your Continuing Professional Development.
We have a total of 1 post available.
Main duties of the job- Initial resuscitation and management of all emergency patients presenting to the department.
- Initiation of the necessary investigation of patients and referral to the relevant on‑call specialist team when indicated.

We run the following hospitals:
- The Lister Hospital, Stevenage
- New Queen Elizabeth II (New QEII), Welwyn Garden City
- Hertford County, Hertford
- Hold a current licence to practice from the General Medical Council
- Full MRCEM Exam
- Advanced Life Support Certificate or equivalent
- Higher degree including MSc, PhD or MD (not including intercalated BSc and "Honorary" MA)
- Successful completion of a UK ACCS Emergency Medicine (or equivalent) programme
- Experience of working in Emergency Medicine at Senior Registrar level or equivalent
- NHS experience
- Evidence of involvement in a quality improvement or formal research project
- Evidence of teaching experience and/or training in teaching
- Evidence of involvement in teaching students, postgraduates and other professionals and evidence of participation in a teaching course
- Evidence of engagement with appraisal and revalidation
- Demonstrates clarity in written and spoken communication, and capacity to adapt language to the situation, as appropriate
