Are you a newly qualified or early career Clinical Psychologist looking for a role that will genuinely invest in your development? This is a structured development post with a defined pathway to Senior Clinical Psychologist.
You work at our hospital in Baldock, either on a part time (30 hours) or full time (37.5 hours) .The working hours are 9am to 5pm.
As this is a development role, your starting responsibilities
will be tailored to your experience. Your performance will be reviewed in your
annual appraisal, and when you meet criteria for the Senior Clinical
Psychologist responsibilities, your pay and job title will be adjusted
accordingly. We will develop these criteria collaboratively as part of your
personal development plan. There are also potential future career opportunities
within Nouvita, and we are proud of supporting our staff to build their careers
in-house.
As you develop into the Senior role, you will hold
service-wide leadership responsibilities and will be expected to provide
consultation and psychological thinking to the senior leadership team of the
hospital. You will be proactive in this and show independence of thought and
initiative.
Main duties of the jobYou will join a friendly, skilled and enthusiastic psychology and therapies team within a vibrant multidisciplinary team, delivering a comprehensive therapies programme to inpatients with a wide range of mental health needs.
Your ideas and enthusiasm will be heard, you will be able to make meaningful change, and you will be authentically supported in your professional development with an high experienced Clinical Psychologist (Head of Psychologies and Therapies) protected development planning, and a genuine in house route to a senior post.
About us Baldock Manor is rated Good by the CQC, whose most recent report specifically recognised the contribution of our Therapies team. The hospital comprises two older adult acute inpatient wards (male and female), with an accredited female PICU currently dormant and offering real potential for redevelopment which is an unusual service development opportunity for a psychologist building their career.

Job responsibilities You will provide high quality specialist psychology services to the in-patients at the hospital who present with a wide range of complex mental health conditions, as well as physical health needs; and work as part of the multidisciplinary team:
Psychology; OT;
Psychiatry;
Nurses; other specialities . You will provide highly specialist psychological assessment and intervention while working collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines, agencies and carers. You will be clinically responsible to a Head of Psychology and Therapies Clinical Psychologist who will have a clinical oversight of all work and service delivery. You will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team while observing the Company policies and procedures.
