We are recruiting Wake Night Support Workers to join our service in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. About the Service – Ripon RoadThis is a brand-New Supported Living Service based which is due to open late autumn 2026. This property has been Newley refurbished to a high standard.
This service comprising of six brand-new self-contained flats for people with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that may be challenging.
The service is a well-located setting for a care service that promotes independence, providing easy access to local amenities and community facilities. The service is within convenient reach of the area’s shops and supermarkets with excellent public transport. There are nearby parks, green spaces and leisure facilities, the location supports a balanced lifestyle, promoting independence, wellbeing and access to the local community in a well-connected and established residential area
You will be working alone and as part of a team supporting people with various needs, such as Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
You will have a person-centred approach to supporting people with their day-to-day living in order to provide a caring, safe and effective service that is responsive to the needs of the people we support. This will include providing support with household tasks, meal planning and preparation, maintaining relationships with their family and friends and with accessing the community.
Service User Interests- Arts and crafts
- Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
- Holidays and short breaks
- Walks in the local park and community
- Cooking and baking to develop life skills
- Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
- Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
- Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
- Support activities, appointments, and community access
- Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
- Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
Requirements- Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care
- Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
- Drivers desirable but not essential
