Senior FM Systems Developer / CAFM Specialist

Salary circa £50,000 plus bonus

Based in Stevenage with Hybrid working

We’re looking for a technically strong FM systems specialist to design and build smart solutions on top of an enterprise CAFM platform.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll work directly with internal customers, translate real business needs into technical designs, and then build the solutions yourself. You’ll sit at the intersection of consultancy and software development, owning integrations, custom development, and system improvements end‑to‑end.

You’ll be working with Java and JavaScript within a Planon environment, supporting and enhancing systems used across a complex, secure engineering organisation.

• Engaging stakeholders to capture and translate requirements
• Designing and developing custom CAFM solutions using Planon APIs
• Writing, testing, and debugging Java and Java Script
• Supporting and improving live FM systems
• Producing clear technical documentation and user guidance

• Strong experience in Java development
• Solid JavaScript capability
• Experience with CAFM or enterprise business systems (Planon ideal)
• Confident communicator who enjoys working with customers
• UK citizenship, security clearance eligibility required
