Systems Engineer
Position Summary
MBDA’s Digital Solutions Manager will lead the definition and delivery of new digital solutions for our engineering business lines. The role includes overseeing project and task management for early stages, coordinating resources, ensuring compliance with defence operational and security standards, and driving continuous improvement in enterprise application lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities- Support definition and delivery of new solutions across engineering functions.
- Pioneer and revise solutions to benefit all engineering lines.
- Lead improvement initiatives, including small and large solution design.
- Handle project or task management responsibilities for early project stages.
- Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring solutions meet operational and security standards.
- Collaborate with architects, analysts and integration specialists to improve application standards and repeatability.
- Assist in the enterprise application lifecycle management, from solution design to deployment.
- Broad knowledge of IT and information systems in a defence environment.
- Knowledge of MBSE tools and awareness of agile techniques.
- Experience in enterprise application lifecycle management: solution design, acquisition, testing, release and deployment.
- Proven solution skills with capability of training in architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
, UAF or DODAF
. - Strong coordination and technical competence to meet defence operational and security standards.
- Desirable: experience with PTC Windchill, IBM ELM/Jazz, CARL Source, Pure:
Variants, Ansys and Dassault 3D Experience.
Applicants must be British citizens or dual UK nationals with British citizenship and must undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).
Compensation & BenefitsSalary:
Circa £65,000, depending on experience.
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 1-2 days per week on-site due to workload classification.
- Company Bonus: up to 21% of base salary.
- Pension: maximum total (employer + employee) contribution of up to 14%.
