Windows Engineer Job Stevenage area,England UK,IT/Tech

A DV cleared Windows Engineer is required for a long term contract on site in Stevenage.

Skillset/experience required:

Must hold DV clearance. Experienced Windows Engineer, must be a generalist with ability to work comfortably across both Infrastructure & Workplace. Hands on skills & in-depth expertise across Windows Server, Windows OS, and Desktop Applications, Virtualisation Platforms including VDI, Storage Solutions, AD & Access Management. Knowledge of networking principles, and excellent troubleshooting skills.

Overview of department:

Digital Excellence function providing IT Services to the business.

Responsibilities:

Provide operational BAU support, administration & configuration management across Infrastructure and Workplace Windows Environments in restricted secret & above networks.

Responsible for maintaining a good working knowledge of the business IT environment.

Planning & coordinating maintenance and patching across the Windows Environments in restricted secret & above networks.

Access & implement changes to the restricted Windows Environment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Creation, maintenance & audit of inventory information and asset registers as required.
