C&SH Operations Manager (Mental Health) - Supported Living Services

Location: Stevenage
Salary: £48,282 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Requirements: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle | Enhanced DBS required

Hightown Housing Association is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Mental Health Supported Living Services.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong operational leader with a proven track record of driving service improvement, leading change, and developing high-performing teams. You'll play a key role in ensuring people receive high-quality, recovery-focused support while leading services on a journey from good to excellence.

About the Role

As Care & Supported Housing (C&SH) Operations Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of dispersed mental health supported living services, providing leadership to Scheme Managers across multiple areas.

You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Driving service quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Leading, motivating and developing teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.
  • Promoting psychologically informed, trauma-informed and person-centred practice.
  • Building strong relationships with commissioners, local authorities and healthcare professionals.
  • Managing safeguarding, risk, performance and operational budgets.
  • Supporting service transformation, growth and change management initiatives.
What We Are Looking For :

We are seeking an experienced manager within mental health supported living who can demonstrate:

  • Significant experience supporting people with mental health needs, including managing risks associated with self-harm, suicidal ideation and complex behaviours.
  • Experience leading teams using psychologically informed and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Proven success in coaching, developing and performance-managing teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams through periods of change.
  • A track record of improving service quality and achieving positive inspection outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including working with commissioners, local authorities and healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of PIE, safeguarding, risk management, person-centred support and mental health legislation.
  • Knowledge of current mental health legislation, best practice guidance, and supported living service models.
  • Experience implementing successful change management and service improvement programmes.
