Overview:
We have an urgent requirement, our client is seeking multiple skilled PCB Assemblers to their business. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling printed circuit boards to a high standard, working from technical drawings and specifications. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and experience working with both through-hole and surface mount components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) using through-hole and/or surface mount (SMT) techniques
- Work from engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Solder components including resistors, capacitors, ICs, and connectors
- Inspect and test assembled boards to ensure quality standards are met
- Identify and report faults or inconsistencies in components or documentation
- Rework and repair PCBs where required
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in line with health & safety standards
- Previous experience in PCB assembly
- Strong soldering skills (through-hole and/or SMT)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with older design boards
- Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g. IPC-A-610)
- Experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment
