Goods Inwards Inspector

An opportunity for a Goods Inwards Inspector position on a 12‑month contract with a client located in Stevenage.

• Pay: £28.71 per hour via Umbrella Company

• Verify and accept procured product in line with contractual conditions.
• Read and understand assembly drawings, including dimensional tolerances and machined specifications.
• Examine the finish of all parts to detect faulty finishing or painting, deterioration of surfaces, etc. Perform first‑off inspections.
• Produce relevant inspection/quality control documentation.
• Check and complete all paperwork associated with delivered articles.
• Ensure inspection times are met.
• Control defect items via segregation from good product.
• Raise and maintain relevant defect reports.
• Maintain product verification approval process via regular audits.
• Inspect PCBs.
• Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
• Maintain the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality.
• Contribute to the maintenance of an orderly and safe working environment.

• Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 or HNC, or an equivalent HNC or further education certificate.
• Demonstrated teamwork and customer focus, with adaptability to work‑related processes and practices.
• Experience in goods inspection.
• Manual handling training.
• SAP literacy desirable.
