12 month contract – Based in Stevenage – Offering £28.71ph inside IR35

As a Goods Inwards Inspector, you will work alongside a market‑leading Defence and Aerospace company, ensuring that all goods received from suppliers meet the criteria of the purchase order and are compliant in all respects.

• Verify and accept procured products in line with contractual conditions.
• Read and understand assembly drawings with dimensional tolerances and machining.
• Examine finish of all parts to detect faulty finishing or painting, deterioration of surfaces, etc.; undertake first‑off inspections.
• Produce relevant inspection/quality control documentation.
• Check and complete all paperwork associated with delivered articles.
• Ensure inspection times are met.
• Control defect items via segregation from good products; raise and maintain relevant defect reports.
• Maintain product verification approval process via regular audits; inspect PCBs.
• Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.

• Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 or HNC.
• Knowledge of SAP and SAP literate.
• Experience with goods in inspection.
