Analytical Lab Technician (Equipment Management)

ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for an Analytical Lab Technician to join our One Source team in Stevenage, customer site.
The main purpose of this role is to work within the customer’s laboratory and research spaces to perform Equipment Management activities on behalf of the customer. The role is integral in the delivery of new treatments to patients. The role provides opportunity to collaborate and succeed.

- Manage and coordinate the life-cycle of analytical equipment used in GxP and Non-GxP lab spaces using established procedures.
- Advice on purchase and location of new equipment.
- Completion of installation documentation to desired regulations.
- Ensure through equipment use that it is fit for purpose.
- Enable responsible decommission of unit after use.
- Actively seek opportunities to grow yourself, the business scope and skill sets.
- Collaborate with colleagues and customers to make improvements to ways of working.
- Exhibit the Core Values of Perkin Elmer and the customer.
- BSc/MSc in Scientific subject or strong organizational and project management skills in a related industry or discipline.
- Experience in a laboratory would be advantageous.
- Ability to understand customer requirements as well as clear and concise written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability to motivate self and to lead and inspire others.
- Knowledge of SOP, change control and instrument qualification, and instruction production.
- Proven organizational experience.
- Excellent customer service focus and ability to work collaboratively.
- Problem‑solving capabilities and ability to make clear decisions.
- Enthusiastic, dependable with a clear attention to detail.
- Be a good team worker demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the team.
- Computer literacy and able to communicate using various platforms.
- Experience working with health and safety procedures.
- Sit or stand 4‑5 hours a day in office areas at provided PC/Laptop.
- Sit or stand 2‑3 hours a day in laboratory area.
- Work around in modern office arenas, undertaking several different tasks.
- Use of personal protective equipment in laboratory.
- Job role may be fast paced, and job completion demands may be high.
