60 is seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Vetting & Security Administrator to join their client based in Stevenage. As the Vetting & Security Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's compliance with government legislative and contractual obligations related to security clearances, visitor management, and access control.
This position is a 12 month contract with the potential of extension. There are both PAYE and Umbrella rates available (both inside IR35). SC clearance is required for this position; if you do not have it already you will need to be willing to go through the SC clearance process if successful.
Key Responsibilities- Process vetting applications, supporting documents, and maintain accurate records and databases
- Manage staff passes, badges, and vehicle passes
- Maintain the Automated Access Control System (AACS) and update records as necessary
- Serve as a focal point for vetting‑related inquiries from various business partners
- Guide project leads through the submission of business cases for out‑of‑process vetting applications
- Ensure the accuracy and GDPR compliance of all vetting records and initiatives
- Support the administration and development of the company's vetting tool
- Represent the security team and occasionally deputise for the Security & Vetting Coordinator
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive vetting records and applications
- Proficiency in obtaining the necessary security clearances for this role (UKSV Security Check)
- Strong IT, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multinational environment
- Fluency in English (spoken, reading, writing, and comprehension)
- Willingness to attend government security training courses, including off‑site residential courses
- 3–5 years of experience in a security or vetting role within a government or corporate security environment
- Understanding of governmental security policies and Corporate Security policies
