Senior Software Engineer

Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and take our technology and your career into new territories. This role will focus on designing and developing test equipment software for leading missile systems and sub-components at MBDA.

Stevenage (hybrid working: 3-5 days per week on-site). Relocation package may be offered.

£40,000-£75,000 depending on experience.

British Citizen or a dual UK national with British citizenship. Candidates may need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).

• Design and develop test equipment software for world‑leading missile systems and their sub‑components.
• Support high‑quality software practices, including automation, continuous integration and Dev Ops principles.
• Collaborate with an agile development team.
• Utilise electronics measurement and debug techniques using equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers.

• Previous software engineering experience in the development of test solutions.
• Strong ability to write software in C/C++; scripting languages (e.g., Python, Power Shell) an advantage.
• Experience working in an agile development team.
• Understanding of quality practices and support for quality assurance.
• Knowledge of electronics measurement and debugging.
