GNC Software Engineer – Autonomous Robotics

Stevenage | Hybrid (3 days onsite). Salary:

Help develop the software that enables autonomous rover platforms to navigate challenging environments. A growing engineering team is looking for a GNC Software Engineer to develop Guidance, Navigation & Control algorithms for next‑generation autonomous robotic systems. Working alongside experienced Systems, Software and Robotics Engineers, you will design and implement intelligent navigation algorithms, develop simulation models, and validate your work through laboratory testing and real‑world field trials.

• Design and implement guidance, navigation & control (GNC) algorithms for autonomous robotic systems.
• Develop simulation models and validate algorithms through laboratory testing and field trials.
• Integrate sensors such as LiDAR, IMU, and cameras into onboard autonomy solutions.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, and Robotics Engineers across the development lifecycle.

• Experience with ROS / ROS2, Python and/or C++.
• Knowledge of robotics, autonomous systems, or control systems.
• Experience with sensor integration (LiDAR, IMU, cameras).
• Background in Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC).
• Master's degree in Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Control Systems, or a related discipline preferred.
• At least two years of commercial engineering experience.
