Salary:
Circa £50,000‑£60,000 depending on experience.

Location:

Stevenage (relocation package may be offered).

Flexible working:
Hybrid; full‑time or part‑time available. You can work on‑site or remotely.

Security Clearance:
British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship. Successful candidates will need HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks.

You will be involved in the development of a growing portfolio of complex embedded digital systems, ranging from advanced DSP systems (e.g. image processing, software‑defined radios) to complex SoC and safety & security‑critical systems. You will work with the latest embedded devices from major vendors such as Xilinx, Intel, Texas Instruments and Analog Devices.

The role spans all phases of the development cycle: initial embedded design (partitioning functions between software and FPGA domains), design implementation, and on‑target integration and testing. You will ultimately see the overall embedded system come to life.

This multi‑disciplinary role offers opportunities to focus on embedded‑system design, software design, FPGA design or hardware design, and to grow into technical or team lead positions.

• Background in digital hardware design, FPGA design (firmware) or embedded software design.
• Experience with embedded digital design and modelling, including partitioning functions between software and FPGA and analysing performance aspects.
• Skill in integration and testing of embedded systems on hardware platforms.
• Degree level or equivalent qualification.
