Systems Engineer – Modelling & Simulation

Salary: £40,000–£58,000, depending on experience

Location:

Stevenage (preferred), Bristol or Bolton – hybrid working (3–5 days a week on-site)

Support the development of sophisticated algorithms, simulations and sensor technologies that play a critical role in delivering advanced defence capability.

You will contribute to multiple programmes, support field trials and laboratory testing, and develop your technical expertise alongside experienced engineers.

• Develop and maintain models and simulations using MATLAB and related tools
• Support algorithm development for advanced defence systems
• Perform systems studies, data analysis and technical investigations
• Contribute to field trials, laboratory testing and continuous improvement activities

• Degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent engineering experience
• Experience with modelling and coding using MATLAB
• Knowledge of algorithm development and data analysis
• Strong technical report writing and problem-solving skills
• British Citizens eligible for high-level security clearance

• Simulink and Embedded Coder experience
• Software or firmware development, particularly C or HDL
• Knowledge of RF systems and digital signal processing
• Model verification, configuration control and release processes
• Continuous Integration and Testing
• Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
