Where will you be working? As an organisation, there is little we dont do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom. This role is in our Plant & Fleet department, Plant & Fleet supports teams across our business with their vehicle, plant and specialist equipment needs.

Please note:
This role can be based at either our Stevenage or Castleford Plant and Fleet depot. However, there will be an expectation to travel nationally to visit our sites, so candidates must be comfortable with regular travel. Want to come and be a part of it? What will you be doing? As our Fleet Logistics Manager, youll play a key role in keeping our operations moving.
Youll be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and deployment of our fleet from vans to heavy goods vehicles ensuring the right assets are in the right place at the right time. Working closely with the Fleet Asset Manager and wider leadership team, youll help bring our fleet strategy to life by maximising utilisation, improving efficiency, and ensuring we meet the needs of the business and our customers.
Key responsibilities Coordinate the allocation and deployment of fleet assets across the business Maximise fleet utilisation and reduce the need for external hire Act as the main link between Asset Management, Account Managers, and operational teams to deliver vehicles to end users Support fleet lifecycle planning alongside customers and internal stakeholders Work closely with workshops and maintenance teams to track vehicle status and maximise uptime Support compliance activities, ensuring fleet policies and standards are maintained Provide accurate data and reporting to support performance, cost, and utilisation tracking Support mobilisation and demobilisation activities Contribute to rate and tariff setting Manage relationships with vehicle suppliers and service partners Coordinate the delivery of vehicles and services to customers What youll bring Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships Experience using fleet management systems to manage assets and performance Highly analytical, with strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel) Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple demands Proven experience within the fleet hire or leasing industry in a similar operational role Career background within a fleet rental environment, progressing from hire desk through to depot or regional management roles
