Pin Point Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Stores & Dispatch Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment in Stevenage.
This is a varied role covering goods in, stores, stock control, dispatch and driving, making it ideal for someone with previous warehouse, stores or logistics experience who enjoys a hands-on position.

The Role
As a Stores & Dispatch Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring materials and finished goods are received, stored, prepared and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
You will also carry out deliveries and collections using company vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
 
* Receive, check, label and store incoming goods.
 
* Report any damaged, missing or incorrect items.
 
* Maintain accurate stock records and carry out regular stock checks and stocktakes.
 
* Pick, prepare and move materials to support production.
 
* Prepare, pack, label and dispatch customer orders.
 
* Complete delivery notes, dispatch paperwork and other relevant documentation.
 
* Arrange courier collections and liaise with carriers.
 
* Carry out deliveries and collections to customers and suppliers.
 
* Complete vehicle checks, mileage and fuel records.
 
* Report any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements.
 
* Keep stores and dispatch areas clean, safe and organised.
 
* Follow all company health & safety, quality and environmental procedures.
 
* Support continuous improvement and other duties as required.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
 
* Previous experience in stores, warehouse, logistics, goods in/goods out or dispatch.
 
* Experience with receiving, picking, packing and dispatching goods.
 
* Good stock control and inventory management experience.
 
* Experience using an ERP, stock control or warehouse management system.
 
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
 
* Experience completing delivery notes and other paperwork.
 
* Previous experience carrying out deliveries or collections.
 
* A full UK driving licence – essential.
 
* Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
 
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
 
* The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
 
* A reliable, practical and proactive approach to work.
Desirable
 
* Forklift licence.
 
* Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
 
* Experience using Epicor, Vantage or similar ERP systems.
 
* Experience booking couriers and arranging collections.
 
* Experience carrying out cycle counts and stocktakes.
