Logistics Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory management for consumables, chemicals, samples, and other items, ensuring accurate control and processing of inventory requests for movement on or off site.
• Generate customer metric reports related to inventory.
• Monitor slow‑moving and dead inventory; conduct cycle counts and yearly physical inventories; prepare reporting.
• Provide daily customer service related to inventory management and communicate with customers.
• Comply with company and statutory safety regulations, including safe systems of work and health & safety.
• Handle goods receipt and processing of consumable deliveries from suppliers, including accurate completion of delivery notes and associated paperwork.
• Use the Stockboss online database to manage stock inventory, including picking, packing, and delivering consumables requisitions.
• Ensure timely delivery of consumables to in‑lab JIT, Kanban, and POU storage locations.
• Maintain consumable stock levels in JIT, Kanban, and POU storage in line with agreed levels, stock‑checking and rotation expectations.
• Complete scheduled inspections and pre‑shift checks of warehouse and vehicle lifting equipment, racking, and general areas.
• Operate X‑ray scanner for inbound post‑packaging.
• Perform general housekeeping and recycling activities.
• Deliver professional, customer‑centric service with focus on order fulfillment and JIT delivery.
