Job Overview
The College of Natural Resources (CNR) has a full-time (9-month), tenure-track, academic-year teaching position available in the Fisheries and Water Resources Discipline. The position will be focused on teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduate students in the Fisheries and Water Resources Discipline.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicant will be expected to teach courses mainly to support the Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences option, which has approximately 130 students each year. Potential courses include the following:
- Techniques in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences
- Fisheries Management
- Fisheries Research
- A team-taught introductory course in Fisheries, Forestry, and Wildlife
Qualifications & Expectations
Faculty members are expected to achieve a record of scholarly achievement in their field of interest to complement teaching responsibilities and contribute to college, university, and/or professional service needs. Opportunities exist for involvement in research (undergraduate and graduate), outreach, and international programs to meet the University scholarship and service requirements. Experience in and a desire to work with various student learning experiences and backgrounds are expected.
