Interim Director of Nursing (Full‑Time) – North Shore Health

Join the North Shore Healthcare team as an Interim Director of Nursing. This full‑time leadership role supports facilities in the absence of a permanent Director of Nursing, sharing knowledge and guiding a team during leadership transitions. The role requires travel within an assigned territory.

The Director of Nursing – Float acts as the interim Director at North Shore Health Care facilities as needed, responsible for planning, organization, direction, supervision, and evaluation of all nursing services. Duties include ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, implementing core nursing programs, maintaining records and reports on resident care, orienting and training staff, managing the department within budget, and following center policies and procedures.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of assignment
• At least 3 years of demonstrated success in a nursing leadership position
• Strong financial and management skills
• Flexibility to adapt to a demanding schedule and extensive overnight travel
• Ability to relate positively and effectively with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
• Special interest in working with long‑term‑care residents and the elderly
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English; meets all health requirements as required by law
• Basic computer knowledge and aptitude for learning company applications
• Proficiency with Microsoft products
• Demonstrated leadership competency
• Willingness to travel to multi‑state facilities
• Polished communication and presentation skills
