RESPIRATORY THERAPIST
Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital in Stevens Point, WI is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapy team.
The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory and cardiopulmonary monitoring, diagnostics, and therapy services under medical direction to patients in a variety of care environments. They assist in the orientation training of hospital staff, students and the public regarding respiratory disease and care. They provide respiratory care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, interpreting patient information and understanding treatment needs depending on the age of patients under care.
Whenever applicable, they demonstrate an understanding of the needs of specific age groups in terms of physical, motor, psychosocial, and intellectual/language development.
Hours:
0.9 FTE / 72 hours every two weeks, working days and nights with weekend and holiday rotation.
- Knowledge of respiratory care standards and protocols normally acquired through graduation from an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care with an associate degree.
- An active Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.
- Registered RRT by the National Board of Respiratory Care, or registry eligible and obtained within one year of hire.
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
