About the Role
This role is vital to the operations within the restaurant. As Shift Manager, you will lead the experience by handling and overseeing crew schedules, inspire and empower crew and managers, supervise food safety and cleanliness, take action on safety, security, inventory, and profitability, cultivate ongoing training and learning, and drive performance.
Responsibilities- Lead the dining experience, overseeing crew schedules.
- Inspire and empower crew and managers, providing leadership and support.
- Supervise and enforce food safety and cleanliness measures to meet McDonald’s standards.
- Take action on safety, security, inventory, and profitability.
- Encourage training and continuous learning within the restaurant.
- Drive and expect a high level of performance from the team.
- Plan and conduct each shift, monitor performance, and communicate with the next Shift Manager.
- Ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
- Monitor safety, security, and profitability, and help departments meet their goals.
- Maintain shift targets and support department objectives.
- Manage crew, scheduling, training, quality food production, safety and security, inventory management, internal communication, daily maintenance and cleanliness.
- Passion for helping and serving others (customers and team members).
- Strong customer service and support focus.
- Effective communicator who anticipates customer needs.
- Ability to provide solutions and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Previous leadership experience preferred, ideally in restaurant, retail, or hospitality.
- Positive team player with a flexible schedule and a passion for a fast‑paced environment.
- Minimum age 18 years.
