Job Summary

Provide travel information services and promote Minnesota tourism to visitors, both in person at the St. Croix Welcome Center and via phone, email, and online channels.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality customer service and promotion of Minnesota destinations.
  • Represent Explore Minnesota and the State of Minnesota.
  • Promote sustainable travel through culturally inclusive outreach.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations and achieve Explore MN goals.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Customer service skills enabling prompt, courteous, accurate responses in person, phone, and email.
  • In‑person customer service competencies to answer questions and provide clear information.
  • Effective communication with colleagues and customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document creation, email, and meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Experience with Cisco Finesse System.
  • Foreign language skills.
  • Map reading skills to assist travelers.
  • Knowledge of Minnesota resources, culture, and trends and willingness to continuously learn.
  • Experience working with diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Physical & Other Requirements
  • Maintain a stationary position for long periods.
  • Move items weighing up to 35 lbs while stocking brochures and supplies.
  • Legal work authorization in the United States.
  • Successful completion of Criminal Background Check and reference checks.
