Job title: Special Ed Paraprofessional - Rutherford Elementary
Job Summary: Special Education Paraprofessional will provide instructional and behavioral support for students with special needs. Transferring/lifting of students may be required. Preferred candidate will have experience working with special needs students.
Requirements: In order to work as a Special Education Paraprofessional, you must meet the state requirement of being Highly Qualified within 10 days of your first day of work. To be considered Highly Qualified, you must have ONE of the following:
- A Bachelor's Degree, or
- An Associates Degree, or
- 60+ credits of post‑secondary education, or
- A passing score on the Para Pro Exam.
Please be prepared to submit documentation in support of your qualifications. Acceptable documentation includes transcripts from the college/university or a copy of the Para Pro Exam report.
Hours per day: 6.0 hours per day, Monday – Friday (student contact days).
Start Date: December 23, 2025
